Yves Cuilleron is a modern master of the Northern Rhone and as such a master of Syrah.
This pure Syrah is sourced from vineyards in Chavanay, essentially granite-infused soils. The Syrah is destemmed at harvest, fermentation is in open-top cuves with a two week maceration. An elevage then proceeds for approximately eight months in a mix of stainless steel and small barrel.
Winemaker Notes - This pure Syrah features a beautiful dep purple color with an expressive nose of brambly fruits, spice, and violets. The palate practically bursts with fruits des bois and an excellent granitic, mineral finish.
