Nose: Baking Spices, Apple, Pear, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Raisins, Figs, Bready, Dark Chocolate, Gingerbread, Palate: Medium oily mouthfeel, Apple, Pear, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Clove, Dark Chocolate, Bready, Raisins, Figs Finish: Medium length finish, Apple, Pear Compote, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Clove, Dark Chocolate, Bready, Fig Rating: 8/10 This is quite the cask of Westland. The malty, bready, chocolateyness I associate with Westland is there and it marries with this very fruity and spicy cask that is like fall in a glass for me. It evokes warm apple pie on a crisp cool fall evening on a patio to me. An impressive showing from Westland, who continues to impress me on the American Single Malt Front.
