This natural, skin contact, orange wine has a bouquet of jasmine, citrus, passionfruit, and tastes like peach iced tea with a slice of lemon. It is dry, savory and a delicious with generous acidity and mineral structure. The 2023 Lockvogel is 100% Gelber Muskateller and was hand harvested and destemmed into open top fermentation tanks with 10% whole cluster, with nine days of skin maceration and fermented with native yeast, rested in stainless steel tank, bottled unfiltered minimal sulfur. Lockvogel means decoy, and this is intended to lure conservative wine drinkers to the world of skin fermented wine.
