This natural, skin contact, orange wine smells of jasmine, citrus, passionfruit, and tastes like peach iced tea with a slice of lemon. It is dry, savory and a delicious with generous acidity and mineral structure. The 2022 Lockvogel is 100% Gelber Muskateller and was hand harvested and destemmed into open top fermentation tanks with 10% whole cluster, with nine days of skin maceration and fermented with native yeast, rested in stainless steel tank, bottled unfiltered minimal sulfur. All work is done by hand. Lockvogel means decoy, and this is intended to lure conservative wine drinkers into the world of skin fermented wines.
