With the recent price increases of some of our favorite Champagne brut rosés, this Burgundy-borne fizz has become our hands down "go to" rosé bubbly for casual gatherings and tête-á-têtes-- especially this month when it's on sale. This Brut rosé is made from 100% sustainably farmed (40+ year-old) Pinot Noir vines from the Côte d'Or-- a welcome contrast to most Burgundian Crémants that are sourced from the Mâconnais, Beaujolais and Côte Chalonnaise. It was vinified completely in tank to preserve its fresh berry character and was then aged on the lees for 20 months before disgorging. In the glass it sports an attractive sunset-red hue and a lively mousse that releases scents of red berries mingled with inflections of blood oranges. These carry over to a well-textured palate where the berry impressions are joined by quenching notes of red currants and citrus.
