It starts with their estate-grown fruit, which they carefully tend to from the ground up through to the winery. Turnbull wines are crafted with integrity and without compromise.
It starts with the painstaking process of vinifying lot by lot, tasting and evaluating each for specific attributes and characteristics. Winemaker Peter Heitz weaves together a narrative of place, tasting through and chalking each barrel one by one to determine the final blends. This bottling is a signature selection of individual barrels that showcase dark, brooding, hedonistic characteristics, with dusty black fruits and an exotic floral lift. These barrels over-deliver, resulting in a wine of astounding purity and density.
JEB DUNNUCK 97+ POINTS - "Stunning stuff, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Black Label offers a full-bodied, deep, majestic style as well as beautiful aromatics of creme de cassis, violets, flowers, and nicely integrated background oak. It has ultra-fine tannins, flawless balance, and a regal, age-worthy style that has so much to love. It, however, is not going to be for the instant gratification crowd and this actually shut down pretty quickly with air. I would hide bottle for 4-6 years and it s going to cruise over the following two decades in cold cellars."

A best-barrel selection, it offers up classic Oakville scents of black cherries and loamy earth, with a gentle cassis undertone. Full-bodied, rich and concentrated, with a long, velvety finish, this is a solid wine, with as much as two decades of age-ability."
