This is a wonderful Sauvignon Blanc from the famous Collio Goriziano bordering Slovenia. It has an almost seamless balance between ripe citrus fruits and natural, fresh acidity that results in a great mouthfeel, with just a slight mineral grip. Not too punchy as some Sauvignon Blancs can be. It has a clean but moderately long finish that serves as the final sign of a great quality wine that's well worth its modest price. Make this one of your picks for grilled fish, vegetable, goat cheese, or go local with a frico (potato, onion, pancetta "pie").
