"Bright, even, pale straw-yellow with a green hue. This has a poised, elegant bouquet with aromas of melon, yellow apple, lemon curd, honeysuckle, unfolding nutty and dusty spice and minerals, along with a creamy note. Medium-bodied, aromas of lemon curd, yellow apple and melon entwined with honeysuckle, toasted hazelnut and delicate spice. The nutty oak elements and creaminess are well-proportioned. The mouthfeel is silky and fine-textured; a bright, lively acid line enlivens and leaves a piquant, long finish. This is a sleek Chardonnay with flavours of lemon curd, yellow apple and melon supported by a lively acid line with refined barrel details. Match with pan-fried turbot and pork over the next 5-7 years. Estate grown fruit handpicked, whole bunch pressed, fermented in French oak barriques with indigenous yeasts to 14% alc, aged 11 months in oak, then blended in tank to finish ageing." - RAYMOND CHAN WINE REVIEWS (NZ)
