History,
Distilled in 1974 at Edinburgh's Caledonian Distillery, which was shuttered in 1988, this is the oldest expression of The Cally ever released, and one of the finest single grain whiskies available.
Tasting Notes,
Nose: molasses, sweetness. Increasingly fruity with strawberry jam and fruit drops. In addition, caramel, oak and spices.
Palate: sweet beginning, again molasses and caramel. The alcohol is well integrated. Later still fir green and spiciness.
Finish: Long, initially bittersweet finish, caramel candies.
