The Balvenie Fifty First Edition represents the coming together of interwoven stories of craftsmanship at our Distillery, culminating in a single, fifty-year-old cask selected by our Malt Master, Kelsey McKechnie. The exceptional quality of The Balvenie Fifty is further enhanced by its exquisite packaging, developed in collaboration with Croglin, a bespoke craft workshop based in Cumbria. Each presentation is a work of art, featuring over 100 different elements. A seemingly impossible helix structure, composed of four layers of wood with a precision tolerance of less than 1/10th of a millimeter, encases the bottle. The beautifully crafted display, adorned with 14-carat gold plated brass, showcases the meticulous craftsmanship that defines The Balvenie Fifty.
Tasting Notes,
On the nose, expect aromas of deep fruits, cassis and candied apricots, layer delicate cedar and a warming nutty spice. On the palate the whisky presents flavours of caramelised fruits, rich spice and soft vanilla, which marry together with a delicate ginger spice and citrus zing.
