This Corvina (the principal grape of Valpolicella) drinks light and refreshing, and with good aroma and flavor intensity for the price. Floral (like roses) and fruity (cherries, sour cherries, plum, and woodland berries) with a touch of spice from the variety (think soft cinnamon, clove and white peppercorn). It finishes soft, with that lightly spiced, juicy fruit tone that beckons another sip! Does well at the table too.

WINE ENTHUSIAST 90 POINTS - "A basket of raspberries filled to the brim with hints of bay leaf, and Sweet William flowers [like Carnation, with a clove-like spice] entrancing the nose. Vibrant and fresh on the palate with tart wild red berries bounding across the palate as savory herbs, soft tannins and a pop of acidity all lift the finish." — Jeff Porter

Tenuta Sant'Antonio is one of the emerging producers from the Veneto region in Northeastern Italy. Its "Scaia" wine is made from the Corvina grape, which is famously known as the principal grape in Valpolicella and Amarone wines. This particular bottling is exceptionally fresh, easy drinking and a great, "Everyday Drinker." It is secured with a glass VinoLok cork, which is simple to remove and looks nicer than a screwcap.
