Tyros wine is the perfect expression of the Napa Valley. The vineyards that contribute to this wine span most of the AVA's (American Vinicultural Areas) in the Napa Valley and include the Oak Knoll, Yountville, and Coombsville. The AVAs are blended together to form a harmonious and expressive wine.
The wine was aged for 22 months in 50% new French oak, 10% new American oak and the rest in neutral barrels. This blend of oak integrates perfectly with the lush fruitiness of the wine and lends just the right amount of tannins for a perfect balance.
The Tyros Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep, dark ruby red color with beautiful garnet tones. Aromas of ripe plum, cranberry and blackberries are enhanced by a touch of vanilla. The palate is dominated by blackberry, black violet and hint of rose petal followed by balanced tones of black cherry, currant, and pomegranate. The finish is fresh and smooth with slight lingering hints of oak and red plum. Pair with lamb, beef or a well-appointed charcuterie board to enjoy all elements of the wine.
