Our "other imports" wine buyers do a fabulous job discovering these unknown treasures. This red from western Turkey features everything we love about wine. It is made from Kalecik Karasi (pronounced Kah-le-dji-car-ah-ser) a Turkish grape variety which is in texture and taste very similar to Pinot Noir. It is rich, well-balanced, and has a lasting aroma of red cherry fruit and baking spices such as clove and cinnamon. We hope you give this unusual red a chance. You won't be disappointed. Serve this with burgers, eggplant, stuffed peppers or souvlaki.
