The 2020 Duarte Vineyard Zinfandel has expressive aromas of dried lavender followed by soothing notes of eucalyptus. It very graciously crosses the palate with a wave of smooth roundness and balanced acidity with a ripe berry flavor so good- you almost forget you’re drinking wine!
Vineyard Notes - The Duarte Vineyard consists of two small Zinfandel blocks one planted in 1981 and the other in 2014 to 5BB rootstock. It is dry farmed in most years and the soils are very sandy and extremely well-drained. The warmer summer temperatures are moderated with strong and cooling breezes from the bay to create the perfect growing conditions for these vines.
