Planted on picturesque south-facing slopes of clay and loam, the Deerheart Vineyard lies just five
miles from the Pacific Ocean and is bordered by the La Honda Open Space Preserve. With a
compelling mix of Dijon and Swiss clones, most the vines are planted at a dense 4-foot spacing to
promote lower yields. The coldest blocks are trellised just 18” off the ground to capture the heat
of the earth on this cool coastal site at the frontier-edge of the AVA.
