80% Sangiovese, 10% Colorino, 10% Pugnitello
This comes from the southern part of Castelnuovo Berardenga, a warmer part of Chianti Classico. Along with the calcareous soils that are prevalent in San Felice's vineyards, the result is a slightly darker tone in the wines relative to others (driven by Amarena cherry and Mediterranean herbs) and a firm structure of softly crisp tannins and juicy acidity. A crowd-pleasing Chianti Classico!
WINE ENTHUSIAST 92 POINTS - "Cranberries, strawberries and orange peel with fennel and sage and a mineral edge of just crushed rock are on the nose and then are repeated on the palate, where they come together in an elegant balance against firm but polished tannins and vibrant acidity." — Danielle Callegari

Lively red cherry
Red cherry with ample acid and lovely balance. This is my favorite wine this year.
