SPECIAL ORDER, ALLOW 4 WEEKS Samaroli – 1995 ‘S Peaty 2017 Edition – Blended Malt Scotch Whisky (1995 Laphroaig, Highland Park & Speyside Malts, Bottled in 2017, 162 Bottles, 45% ABV) We’ve come to the sixth edition, which coincides with the ninth bottling of this blend of malts from all over Scotland…. Blending is easy… or so they say…. I would say it depends on what you’re blending and above all how… In this case, we’re talking about the cornerstone of our blendings. It was the first in our new history. We were elated by its success, which spurred us on to be just as bold with other blends. Now it’s time for introductions. This is him! Rich, lavish and mighty. The nose has green Lapsang Souchong tea leaves and biscuits. On the palate, it reveals enveloping roundness, retaining the regal elegance of precious gems. It lingers with a tender, caressing mouth-feel. The finish is persistent with distinctive notes of fresh hay, rhubarb and roots that are in no hurry to leave… like the warm embrace of a reluctant farewell. We enjoy the smell of the sea, mysterious and majestic in the east, which is carried on the summer breeze while there beyond the cliffs, the sun slowly sinks below the horizon.
