SPEYSIDE SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY
DISTILLED IN 2008
FROM LINKWOOD DISTILLERY
BOTTLED IN SCOTLAND IN 2023
SELECTED CASK NO. 306029
The ways of men are infinite. They go from east to west, and from north to south. They unite Asia and Europe. They overcome mountains, wade across rivers, run alongside the shoreline.
Large or small, long or short, broad or narrow, as a dirt track or a tiled thoroughfare - it matters little. Designed to unite but also to distance, to advance and attack, or to strike and flee. But there are also master routes, those which are straight and safe. For us at Samaroli this distillery is such a master route, one we have followed and walked along in safety.
This is a path we have moved across since we were children, so to speak, and then as adolescents and finally adults. And here we encounter this spirit, which reaches us after fifteen years endowed with every wealth of scent.
Tasting Notes,
The vegetable, the balsamic. Strident and opulent at the same time.
The nose is therefore juicy, sating, rich and creamy. Pungent in the mouth, inebriant and exciting. A mix of prairies and woods. A clear reassuring finish. Harmonious.
Allow the spirit further fraction of a second, that moment in which we are able to (also) rediscover ourselves.
The path is always long. Like the one which, along the slabs of the Appian Way, carried Europe towards the seducing and mysterious Orient. Man loves to construct and lay down roads, no question about it. But why is he so passionately fond of destruction and chaos?
