The Dr. Crane Vineyard is sustainably farmed, and nutrient composts and cover crops increase the biodiversity of the soil and improve tilth. Soil cultivation in the spring aids in achieving vine balance and decreases the need for irrigation. The 2018 rendition of this wine made Wine Spectator's "Top 100" list in 2021, and this 2019 is a great follow-up, earning 95+ points from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate!
ROBERT PARKER'S WINE ADVOCATE 95+ POINTS - "Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Dr. Crane Vineyard offers up beguiling scents of Morello cherries, mulberries and blackcurrant pastilles, plus underlying cinnamon stick, chocolate mint and tilled soil hints. Medium to full-bodied, the palate reveals a firm and fine-grained texture, allowing the black and red fruits to shimmer with jaw-dropping energy, finishing on a persistent spicy note."
JEB DUNNUCK 94 POINTS - "The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Dr. Crane Vineyard is cut from the same cloth, offering a Graves-like array of tobacco, scorched earth, chocolate, and cassis. Beautifully textured, medium to full-bodied, and balanced, with a great finish, it's slightly more fleshy and approachable than the 2018 and will shine for 15 years as well."
