The grapes for this Pinot Noir are sourced from the Santa Maria AVA which is located in the cool Northern most growing area of Santa Barbara County. It is influenced by morning fogs and afternoon breezes from the nearby Pacific. Aged for 11 months in 32% new French oak barrels, this is a wonderful expression of what cool climate wines can be. Packed with bright, juicy notes of strawberries, raspberries, and caramel, this wine also has subtle hints of orange meringue. Firm acidity and an elegant balance make for a very approachable, food friendly wine.
