Still in the register of aged rums, Rhum Bologne offers its "Special Reserve", a rum aged exclusively in French oak barrels having previously contained cognac. This cuvée of the Rhums Bologne of Guadeloupe restores with finesse all the purity and the aromatic range of the black and red canes of the domain Bologne, after 4 years of ageing minimum. Thanks to its spicy aromas, and an exceptionally bewitching perfume, this aging is not without reminding the rum Bologne Grande Reserve. At the tasting, the rum Bologna Special Reserve plays the card of greed. Indeed, we find in this old rum Bologna, notes of vanilla, and other notes reminiscent of cannelés.
TASTING NOTES
Intense and marked by a vanilla note, delicately toasted, evolving towards cinnamon and cocoa. A delicate iodine touch, very “Bologna” hovers over everything.
The attack is delicately spicy, then fleshed out with a very rich aromatic concentrate: dried fruits, fig with a hint of iodine.
