Sauvignon Blanc has a long history in Dry Creek Valley and a long history at Preston. This year's bottling is worthy of its tradition and true to type. The 2023 Sauvignon Blanc is particularly aromatic and expressive. The nose screams of classic Dry Creek Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Initial notes of white peach give way to yellow grapefruit and musky melon with just a hint of fresh cut grass. This wine has a medium body with a rich mid-palate that always stays fresh thanks to vibrant, zesty acidity. Grapes are certified organic (CCOF) and their farming practices are Biodynamic.
A nose of lemon peel, lemongrass, orange blossom and a subtle herbal element of cut orchard-grass and wild thyme. Broad and ample but quite focused on the palate, with rich, lemon-oil acidity, orange candy, lemongrass and gooseberry. And the true marker of this incredible vintage: a stunningly long, delightful finish; persistent and quenching.
