Penelope's Toasted Series is a testament to the power of serendipity. "When we began to explore toasted finishes, we weren't expecting each barrel to be so different - so we decided to embrace this variety of chars and toasts that makes every bottle in our Toasted Series truly one-of-a-kind." After full maturation in charred new American oak barrels, they finished a very special 95% Rye, 5% Malted Barley mashbill in a new, freshly toasted barrel! We must say, we believe this bit of luck has benefited all rye imbibers! We were bowled over by this barrel when we tasted it-- such a difference when the heavy toast interacts with the rye!

Nose: Rich caramel, butterscoth and vanilla with a lovely spicy rye undercurrent throughout.
Palate: Bold on the palate with notes of toasted marshmallow, vanilla, balanced rye spice.
