This is an ageworthy rosé made from Pinot Noir and Pinot Beurot. 40-50% directly pressed, indigenous yeast fermentation. Aged for 24 months in demi-muids (1/3 new oak) and tank. Sylvain has at least two parcels on opposite ends of the vineyard. The vines here are old, the youngest being planted in 1949. Sylvain notes the characteristic reductive minerality despite the change in location, grape, and bedrock. He believes this minerality is so beautiful that it would be a shame to make red wine on this terroir.

Jancis Robinson: "Bottled just a month before in early September 2020. Tasted in the cellar from bottle. Much paler cherry red than the 2019. Savoury nose and then on the palate very round and full of vivid raspberry fruit encased in lots of lovely acidity and freshness with light tannins in evidence. Extremely persistent. On the basis of how the 2017 tasted the following week, I would expect this to grow and grow. Drinking Window: 2021-2027. (Oct 2020)"

    Fabulous layers of yum

this is a spectacular rose that has more rich qualities than a light rose from Provence (which I also love). However this has a richer flavor with more skin of the grape in it from the pinot noir. A real treat for the price point.
