An eloquent wine, with an evocative plummy fruit underscored with mineral, silky tannins and a lingering, subtle finish. Lafarge owns a hectare in the Clos des Aigrots, planted one-quarter to white and three to Pinot in the red clay soils here. Some of the vines are more than 70 years of age. In 2020, the ripe fruit was destemmed and carefully fermented before ageing mostly in used casks."
