There is a supremely elegant mouth feel to the silky and lacy flavors that dance across the palate before culminating in an ultra-pure, long and beautifully well-balanced finish. This is one very classy effort that is textbook Mitans."
JOHN GILMAN 92 + POINTS - "The 2011 Mitans was absolutely singing at the time of my visit and is very, very close in quality to the stunning 2010 that Frédéric Lafarge produced from this superb premier cru. The 2011 delivers a simply beautiful bouquet of black cherries, dark berries, fresh herb tones, woodsmoke, a touch of French roast and a lovely base of dark soil tones. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and offers up quite a bit more early generosity on the attack than the Premier Cru bottling, with a lovely core, superb transparency, fine-grained tannins and great balance and focus on the very elegant and classically black fruity finish. A beautiful bottle of Mitans that will want seven or eight years of bottle age to really blossom. (Drink between 2021-2060)."
