ORGANICALLY FARMED
Montepulciano & Cesanese
So-called for the volcanic rock tuff soil (not the same as tuffeau or tufa, which are limestone and calcareous deposits from evaporated water) of which it is comprised, Tuffalicco is a hill vineyard in the district of Capo Le Mole from which the grapes are sourced. From a blend of Montepulciano and Cesanese, this fresh, tangy red offers up bright, delicious flavors of red cherry and wild raspberry, supported by a lovely note of violets, satisfying vinosity, and a hint of attractive smokiness rare in an unoaked wine. Incredibly satisfying and a remarkable value for a wine of this kind.
