Edition No. 2 is a limited offering born from a collaboration between The Macallan's Master Whisky Maker, Bob Dalgarno, and El Celler De Can Roca, twice voted best restaurant in the world. Edition No. 2 reflects the personality and creative spirit of the collaborators, represented by their personal selection of casks. The dried fruit and sherry notes of the Tevasa casks selected by Bob Dalgarno; the spicy ginger of the Jose Miguel Martin casks chosen by Sommelier Josep Roca; the rich green wood and toffee flavors of the Diego Martin casks selected by Head Chef Joan Roca; and the light vanilla and citrus notes of the Vasyma American oak casks selected by Pastry Chef Jordi Roca come together in Edition No. 2 to form rich layers of warm and complex flavors.
Nose: Sweet grains, flaxen honey, vanilla cream, baking spices, carob, caramel apple, black pepper, dried red fruits.
Palate: Smooth, warm and spicy, nougat and nilla wafer meet up with candied orange, mixed brown spices and toasty oak as touches of pepper and anise lend touches to the background. Cocoa and spicy oak, layers with baking spices, lead toward a rich, viscous finish emanating with waves of toffee, clove and cardamom. Luscious, luxurious, brilliant whisky.
