The Meursault "Charmes" vineyard is located just south of the village and is recognized for being one of the finest wines producing the finest wines in the appellation. The mineral and well-drained soil is perfectly suited to Chardonnay. The style is ripe but brilliantly fresh. It is elegant, pure, and focused, with a sense of vitality and a touch of silk. Although ripe, the wines from the Côte d’Or are rarely over-rich. Concentrated but precise.
