History,
Laphroaig 25 Years Old 2014 Cask Strength Edition is a special cask strength version of Laphroaig’s lauded 25-year-old single malt. The whisky matured for a quarter of a century in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks and American oak ex-bourbon barrels, before being bottled at a cask strength of 45.1%.
Tasting Notes,
The result is an elegant and fruity dram with gentle Islay peat and aromas of cinnamon, vanilla and spiced apple. On the palate, soft flavours of Demerara sugar and baked red apples develop.
