Winemaker's Notes: Though the Barbera grape from Asti usually tends to be crisper and sharper (when compared to the Barbera grape from Alba), the Ca' di Pian exudes a rich concentration and relatively tame acidity, thanks to 45-year-old vines and low vineyard yields....the wine is ruby red with purple reflections. The bouquet has beautiful and complex aromas of ripe blueberry, rosehip and nectarine. The palate is mineral with chewy, with flavors of small red berries and black cherries
accented by balsamic and earth notes.
