This is a lighter-bodied, stainless steel expression of Fiano, a variety that shines with a beam of acidity from start to finish. Its characteristic richness on the palate is still apparent at this level, but toned down for an 'everyday' style, with ripe orchard fruit and floral notes that give way to a clean, mouthwateringly bright finish. This is a wine for light, fresh fish dishes, including sashimi! Aged in stainless steel.
The Capranera line of wines is made by the San Salvatore winery, whose vineyards are in the beautiful Cilento National Park, which is south of Salerno, and close to the sea. La Capranera ("the black goat") is named for the breed of goats (cilentana nera) that live amongst the hills there.
