Coming from the Kenefick Family's property in the northern reaches of the Napa Valley, 2022 got off to a quick and early start. Light rains through the winter and warm temps were a catalyst for a great and early vintage. The canopy was adjusted on this Sauvignon Blanc to allow the berries to be sun kissed without full exposure. This allows Kenefick Ranch full flavor and character impact without excessive sugars while preserving the crisp acidity on the palate. That acidity integrates perfectly with the oak balancing the tropical and fresh grapefruit aromatics while providing an extensive stone fruit finish. The Lees aging in the barrel and new tight grain oak create a nicely weighted fresh cream middle palate. Concentrated flavors of lychee and honeydew pop out of the glass while the palate is met with copious amounts of bright grapefruit and tangerine zest.
