The new blended expression bottled in Hioki, Kagoshima, the Kanosuke Whisky Double Distillery, will showcase both Kanosuke Distillery and Hioki Distillery whiskies, demonstrating how well the two distilleries accentuate and complement each other’s distinctive characteristics.
Bottled at 53% ABV, the combination of Hioki pot still whisky and Kanosuke single malt is aged together at Kanosuke Distillery utilizing Virgin American White Oak casks, Sherry casks, Bourbon barrels, and Re-charred Ex-Mellowed Kozuru Shochu casks.
Tasting Notes,
Nose: summer melon, sweet vanilla, mint, apricot, peach, and lemon grass
Palate: complex and full of rich sweetness, with undertones of bittersweet flavor that include orange peel, black tea, cloves, and raspberries.
Finish: rich, fruity scent, a little oaky flavor
