History,
istilled at Piccadily Distillery in Karnal, Haryana, from 6 Row Barley (native to Northern India and sourced from the foothills of the Himalayas), Kamet is a collaboration between Peak Spirits and Master Blender Surrinder Kumar, one of the leading voices in India’s whisky-making evolution. Few single malts have been released from India, and this, the first release from Kamet, reinforces the country’s new position on the world whisky stage.
Tasting Notes,
A rich nose of char and maple syrup, vanilla, stewed prunes, and toasted pecans concentrates into a lean and savory palate of freshly cracked black pepper, arugula, and pine nuts, with a finish of English Breakfast Tea and pleasant tannin.
