JOHN GILMAN 97 POINTS -"Maison Drouhin’s les Amoureuses is always one of the finest bottlings to be found in the Côte d’Or, and the 2020 version is going to be another cellar treasure in due course. The bouquet is deep and stunning, with a touch of red fruity elements creeping into its bouquet of red and black cherries, gamebird, a beautifully complex base of soil tones, woodsmoke, gamebird, balsam bough and a refined foundation of nutty new oak. On the palate the wine is deep, pure, full-bodied and very refined in profile, with a sappy core, lovely soil undertow, fine-grained tannins and excellent focus and balance on the long, pure and vibrant finish. All this beauty needs is plenty of bottle age."
