Jameson is the work horse of Irish Whiskey, controlling over 70% of the market share. Jameson is a force to be reckoned with and a delicious whiskey to enjoy. Dating back to 1780 this has a nice long history and a following that has been growing exponentially for decades. On the nose you find fruit cake packed with orange, raisins and apricot along side of sandalwood, linseed oil. soft leather-all very enticing. The palate is big, creamy, friendly, intense but never over bearing. The flavors are mouth-filling, with buttery hints of spice balanced inside of a lush opulence with barley malt and nutty sherry notes dancing to the end. This is genuinely arresting whiskey that is a charming pleasure to drink; try it neat, as a shot, on ice, in a cocktail or with a 'Pickle Back'.
