Unique flavor is name of the game with gin these days and separating yourself from the pack is the goal. The founders of Inverroche have created a distinctive gin showing terrior of their native domain while teaming with local botanists to highlight conservation efforts taking place in the Cape Floral Kingdom. They took great care not to cook the Fynbos (distinctive vegetation of the area). These delicate botanical ingredients are gently infused via baskets inside the still that allow the distilled vapors to interact and softly draw out aromas. Subtle floral aromas show white pepper, yellow citrus zest, basil, juniper, and even a hint of pine. A nice medium texture on the palate makes this versatile enough to be enjoyed on it's own but I will certainly use it in any number of cocktails!
