This special bottling comes from the estate's Gratius vineyard, with mixed planting of mature-vine Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino. With just a year of aging in oak (barriques and tonneaux), there's a bit more focus on the rustic charms of the fruit that takes you back to old Tuscany. Dark-toned and rich for its medium-full weight, the softly grainy tannins and inner vibrancy give it life. While it's still in the beginning of its drinking window, the textural contrasts are working in harmony right now. The dark fruitiron-rich clay earthiness and blonde tobacco notes are classic for Molino di Grace's home in the warm hills of Panzano in Chianti.
