WINE ADVOCATE 95 POINTS - "The Il Marroneto 2021 Rosso di Montalcino Iacopo is packed tight with primary fruit, bright cherry and all kinds of berries, raspberries and currants. There is Christmas spice, clove, cinnamon and dried orange peel. The mouthfeel is very lively with beautiful dusty tannins and approachable freshness. This is a terrific Rosso that brings you to the lighter and fresher side of Montalcino. Of the two Rossos, Iacopo and Ignaccio, I found this bottle to be brighter."
Montalcino's Alessandro Mori makes of some of my favorite wines. He proudly follows a very traditional winemaking philosophy that is only a few steps removed from the olden days when wine presses were powered by donkeys.
