History,
Chichibu is back with their highly-anticipated Paris Edition, bottled exclusively for La Maison du Whisky. This year, the Japanese distillery pays homage to France through a series of artworks that links the two countries. Each bottle features a lithograph by art nouveau painter Henri Rivière. His Thirty-six Views of the Eiffel Tower, published in 1902, were inspired by Hokusai’s famous Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji. Ichiro’s Malt Chichibu Paris Edition 2022 is crafted from a blend of Chichibu mostly aged in ex-bourbon barrels, and peated Chichibu whose age varies between six and seven years. The single malt is smooth and balanced with sweet honey, peat smoke, chocolate, spices and baked apple.
