"Origins" is a rather new series from High Coast (formerly known as Box), with Berg being the last one in the lineup. It's a first-fill bourbon aged and Pedro Ximénez finished whisky with an average age of 6.54 years. Nose: Burnt sugar, Golden raisins.
Palate: A tad spicier than the nose. Nice thick and creamy mouthfeel, a little dry, tons of sweetness. Candy, citrus and tea.
Finish: Initial spice kick that fades out into a long and warm finish. Sweet with a typical PX dryness at the end.
