Eric is also the man behind one of the best values out of Paso Robles and the greater San Luis Obispo County, Harvey & Harriet. This wine started out as a companion label to his My Favorite Neighbor bottling, but the Harvey & Harriet wines have taken on lives of their own. Named after Eric's parents, this white wine is not constrained by a single varietal, but is a blend of fruit from some of the best vineyards the county has to offer! This "blending of the best" is often used in regions such as Chateauneuf-du-Pape, where the quality of the final wine can be superior to any one singular grape.
A blend of Chardonnay, Albariño, Viognier, and Pinot Grigio, this medium gold toned wine reveals hints of tangerine, pineapple, and honeydew that exude from your glass in this aromatically driven delight. A subtle saltiness with nutmeg undertones lead you into this lighter in body wine that still manages to possess a unique, restrained creaminess that can be appreciated by all. The burst of bright, refreshing acidity leaves one immediately ready for the next sip. The precise and understated oak finish show that this playful wine has a serious side to it as well. Be ready to drink this as soon as you get home on a warm, summer evening or as an addition to your meal with lighter fare.
ROBERT PARKER'S WINE ADVOCATE 92 POINTS - "The 2022 White Blend is composed of 50% Chardonnay, 18% Chenin Blanc, 14% Gruner Veltliner, 10% Albariño and 8% Viognier matured for 10 months in 35% new French oak. It has inviting aromas of white peach, beeswax, freshly baked bread and soft green herbs. The medium-bodied palate features layered flavors, a satiny texture, fresh acidity and a long, fragrant finish."
