Proprietor Kevin Judd was the founding winemaker for Cloudy Bay, which helped bring New Zealand's lively, aromatic Sauvignon Blancs to the world's attention. He formed his own winery, Greywacke, which is named for the bedrock that forms the foundation of much of New Zealand's South Island. His ripely-toned, but zesty-juicy, Sauvignon Blanc is a big upgrade to the many ubiquitous wines from Marlborough on the South Island!
WINE SPECTATOR 93 POINTS - "Aromatic, stylish and distinctive, with honeysuckle, quince, citron and fresh ginger notes on a sleek and mouthwatering frame. Accents of lemon thyme and apple skin linger on the refreshing finish. Drink now. —M.W."
