Brought to us by the pair of winemakers behind the famous Comando G wines, this distinctive Garnacha also comes from the sandy, granitic soils of the mountains near Madrid. The mature vines have reached deeply to maintain a steady supply of water in a climate that is still effected by the Mediterranean Sea. It has restrained, stony aromas in contrast to some of the fruitier Garnachas (aka Grenaches) from other regions, along with a medium-bodied, mellow & rounded mouthfeel, and deep mineral sensations. Subtle, soft red fruits, an herbal tinge like bay leaf, and orange peel are the classic aromas here. Extremely drinkable and a fantastic value for an authentic regional wine. This is an ideal wine for tapas and fresher sheep and cow cheeses. Fermented and aged in concrete only.
