ABOUT THE PRODUCT
The black elderberry, also called the Judas tree, is a 3 to 5 meter shrub that grows in temperate zones such as Europe, West Asia and in certain regions of Africa. At the end of spring, the elderberry is adorned with small creamy white flowers with a characteristic intoxicating fragrance. Used since ancient times for its therapeutic properties, elderberry is widely recognized as a medicinal plant and is still widely used around the world today. All parts of the elderberry have a distinct use: from the berry, to the bark, to the flower.
The small cream-coloured wild elderflowers are harvested by hand in the spring, naturally dried and then macerated in alcohol.
