FUENTESECA RESERVA EXTRA AÑEJO 15 YEARS: 25% distilled in a copper alembic and 75% distilled in a double copper column. After mixing the distillates, 97% of the mixture was aged in American Oak barrels, of which 75% were previously aged Canadian rye whiskey and 25% were Californian red wine, the remaining 3% of the mixture was aged. in European dark oak barrels that previously aged Californian red wine. The barrels remained for 15 years in the cellar in the city of Atotonilco el Alto, 1400 meters above sea level.
FUENTESECA TEQUILA 15 YEAR (43% ABV) The highland agave used in this lot were harvested in Atotonilco in the Spring of 1998. The distillate was aged 15 years in a dry, earthen-floor aging room where a delightful faint sweetness was achieved by aging nearly all in American white oak, with only 3% laid into French Oak. 75% of the white oak casks previously held Bourbon and the remaining 25% were California red wine casks and one Chardonnay cask.
