THE REBIRTH OF A UNIQUE RECIPE.
Fontbonne Herbal Liqueur has been reawaken to revive the history of our ancestral house.
In his twilight years, Jean Fontbonne crafted his final masterpiece – FONTBONNE Verte. The blend of its 26 ingredients was meant to “dance on the palate and linger as a cherished memory”.
This testament to Fontbonne’s dedication to botanical distillation remained a secret recipe, passed to his son, René Louis Fontbonne, but was regrettably lost in time, forgotten amidst the sale of the company in 1909.
Tasting Notes,
Nose: Herbaceous notes mingle with spicy, aniseed and woody accents, while a touch of menthol brings freshness and vivacity.
Palate: The freshness of the initial attack is accompanied by powerful herbal and aniseed notes and a subtle floral touch,
Finish: with nuances of licorice and cinnamon on the finish. A lingering, warm and spicy tasting experience.
