This vintage of Fontanella Family's Estate Cabernet is a perfect representation of Jeff's signature style. With the ability to exert absolute control from planting to harvest, every choice made has carried his vision to this reality. On the nose this wine exudes big berry aromas complemented by layers of cocoa, leather, clove, and hints of forest. On the palate it reveals notes of berry preserves, dark cherry, and cassis that are beautifully balanced by hints of caramel, anise, all spice, and minerality. This wine has big shoulders and structure with firm tannins lending rich texture to a long and luscious finish. With less than 150 cases produced, this 2019 Mt. Veeder Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is a showcase of the best barrels of their estate.
