It's 100% whole cluster pressed, barrel fermented and aged for 7 months in French Oak. Jeff Fontanella uses only 30% new oak, so this Chardonnay shows a beautiful balance of oak with the fruit. The Chardonnay offers bright, crisp acidity up front with a round, and creamy finish. Fragrant citrus and acacia blossom dazzle the nose and lead into aromas of candied golden apple, ripe peach, and pineapple, with hints of brioche and vanilla. Crisp acidity and a full, round texture are highlighted by flavors of Meyer lemons, poached pear and key lime pie and backed by honeycomb and toasted oak spice.
